Andrew Navarro

Owner & Head Trainer

As the owner and head trainer of Merced Elite Gym, Andrew Navarro is your go-to expert for all things fitness. With over a decade of experience and certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), along with a specialized nutrition certification from Dr. Layne Norton, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge to the gym floor. He’s not just a fitness coach; he’s a guide who understands what it takes to create lasting, real results.


Andrew’s fitness journey started when he was 13 years old, looking to improve his own confidence and physique. It didn’t take long for him to realize the power of proper coaching, which is why he's so passionate about helping others navigate their own fitness paths. His approach focuses on sustainable, long-term strategies that deliver results without relying on quick fixes.


Known for his intense, but rewarding training style, Andrew is dedicated to helping clients feel stronger, more confident, and empowered. He loves seeing the moment clients realize they’re capable of more than they ever thought possible. At Merced Elite Gym, Andrew has built a supportive, community-driven environment where every client gets the personalized attention they deserve.


When Andrew’s not at the gym, you’ll likely find him playing a round of golf—although he’ll be the first to tell you he’s no Tiger Woods. But for him, it’s not about being the best—it’s about enjoying the process of improvement, both on the course and in life.

Nathan D.

Personal Trainer 

Nathan Datray is an athletic trainer with a deep understanding of overcoming physical challenges. His fitness journey began after multiple injuries, including a fractured ankle during his freshman year of high school. These setbacks led him to develop a passion for strength training, which has since become his specialty. Nathan’s approach is all about encouragement, hard work, and making fitness fun. Outside the gym, he enjoys fishing and unwinding with cold showers. His personal experience with injury and recovery makes him a relatable and motivating coach for those starting their own fitness journeys.

Alexis Z.

Personal Trainer 

Alexis Zaragoza embarked on her fitness journey with a focus on personal growth and well-being. Inspired by the positive changes fitness brought to her life, she realized that taking care of her health was key to building confidence and empowerment. Now, as a personal trainer with an ISSA certification and 2 years of experience in the industry, Alexis is dedicated to helping others transform their lives just as she did.


Her approach is exciting, empowering, and adaptable, ensuring that each client feels confident and motivated throughout their journey. Alexis loves strength training and enjoys guiding clients through physical challenges. When she’s not in the gym, Alexis loves spending time with her dog and indulging in her love for good food.

Personal Trainer 

Sophia Aleman’s fitness journey started as a way to improve her mental health and self-confidence. Feeling uncomfortable in her own skin pushed her to take control of her health, and fitness became her path to self-love. Now, as an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Sophia focuses on strength training to help her clients discover their inner strength and boost their confidence.


Her training style is fun, tough, and centered on making clients feel comfortable. Sophia loves the community at Merced Elite Gym and takes pride in guiding her clients towards their personal goals. Outside of fitness, she enjoys hiking and reading.

Personal Trainer 

Jayden Guerrero’s fitness journey began after recovering from a sports injury that took a toll on his mental and physical health. Determined to regain his health and athleticism, Jayden became passionate about fitness. With five years of experience in the industry, Jayden is currently working towards his personal training certification while competing in bodybuilding.


Jayden specializes in strength training and is committed to helping others find their inner strength. His approach is adaptable, compassionate, and educational. Outside the gym, Jayden works as a reading intervention teacher and loves to bake, go to the beach, and explore new restaurants.
